Job Title: Sr. Java Developer Experience: 5+ Years Location: Trivandrum / Kochi Job Description:

UST Global is looking for Senior Java Developers to build end-to-end business solutions and work with one of the leading financial services organizations in the US and Canada.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in both frontend and backend development technologies, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The role requires close collaboration with domain experts, product owners, and technical teams.

Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Java Developer, you will:

• Maintain active collaboration with Product Owners to understand business requirements

• Lead requirement-gathering meetings and review solution designs

• Own backlog items and coordinate with team members to deliver sprint commitments

• Perform technical design reviews and code reviews

• Design, prototype, develop, and troubleshoot software across UI and service layers

• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure scalability, reusability, and best practices

• Participate in technical discussions focused on user experience, architecture, and development

• Demonstrate project features and enhancements to client stakeholders

• Support QA teams with test planning, defect fixing, and root cause analysis

• Provide overlap coverage with onsite/customer teams until 9:00 PM IST

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Java / J2EE development

• Strong experience in multi-tier application architecture

• Proficiency in:

  • Java / J2EE

  • Spring, Spring Boot

  • REST & SOAP Web Services

  • Hibernate

  • SQL

  • Tomcat & Application Servers (WebSphere)

  • Microservices architecture

• Experience with Cloud platforms (Google Cloud / AWS)

• Strong understanding of API design and integration

• Experience with UML, application design, architecture, and design patterns

• Unit testing experience using JUnit or similar frameworks

• Strong knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser web applications

• Familiarity with web service models, JSON payloads, Swagger profiles
