Job Description

As a Senior Java Backend Developer at our company, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot (Reactive). - Building and managing microservices, integrating them via Kafka for asynchronous communication. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, DevOps) to deliver new features. - Implementing unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure code quality. - Applying Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber for automated acceptance testing. - Participating in code reviews, design discussions, and agile ceremonies. - Utilizing GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps workflows. - Ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, deployment, and security. Qualifications required for this role include: - 6+ years of professional experience in backend development. - Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot (Reactive). - Deep understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. - Hands-on experience with Kafka (event streaming). - Proficiency with GitLab (version control, CI/CD pipeline setup & management). - Strong knowledge of unit testing and functional testing frameworks. - Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber preferred). - Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have experience with Docker and Kubernetes, knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, ELK), and exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
