Lead - Engineering Development

As a CAD Application Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our CAD systems effectively meet the requirements of our engineering teams. Your responsibilities will involve developing, customizing, and optimizing CAD software, providing technical support and training to end-users to enhance efficiency and proficiency in the design processes. You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to grasp their needs, develop and maintain CAD tool documentation, and ensure seamless compatibility and integration with other engineering software. Conducting training sessions for CAD users, staying updated on the latest advancements in CAD software, and promptly resolving any CAD-related issues will also be part of your regular tasks. The ideal candidate for this role should hold a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar tools. A strong grasp of engineering principles and design processes, exceptional problem-solving abilities, effective communication and training skills, and the capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams are essential qualifications. A proven track record of successful CAD software optimization is highly desirable. Key Skills required for this position include proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, 3D Modeling, technical support, software customization, engineering design, troubleshooting, and documentation.
