Job Title: Lead Business Analyst – Digital Portals (P&C Insurance)

Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Specifications (70%):
Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and user stories for commercial P&C portal workflows (submissions, clearance, rating, bind, and policy servicing).
Write detailed frontend specifications covering validation logic, error handling, field masking, and role-based permissions.
Define data requirements and map UI fields directly to backend REST API request/response payloads (JSON).
Partner with development and QA teams to review technical designs, clarify requirements, and validate test cases.
Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
UI Wireframing & Prototyping (30%):
Create mid-fidelity wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes directly in Figma.
Leverage Figma AI capabilities to accelerate screen generation, populate sample data, and quickly iterate UI layouts.
Provide development-ready Figma files with embedded functional annotations, eliminating the need for a separate UX handover.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst delivering web-based software applications.
Domain Knowledge: Strong, demonstrable experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance (Commercial, Specialty, or Excess & Surplus lines preferred).
UI/Portal Projects: Proven track record working on customer-, broker-, or internal-facing portal development projects.
Figma & Figma AI: Practical, hands-on experience using Figma for wireframing and prototyping, with active working knowledge of Figma AI features.
Technical Skills
Ability to read and define REST API contracts and JSON payloads.
Experience with data mapping and field-level specification documents.
Familiarity with database concepts and basic SQL.
Methodology: Extensive experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira and Confluence.
Preferred Skills
Experience integrating with Policy Administration Systems (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek) or rating engines.
Foundational understanding of frontend web technologies (HTML, CSS, React component behavior).
Industry certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, or insurance designations (CPCU, AINS).
