Lead Backup and Storage Engineer

You are an experienced L3 level Engineer with expertise in Backup and Storage who will be a valuable addition to our team. Your primary role will involve the design, implementation, and management of data backup and storage solutions to safeguard the security, availability, and recoverability of critical business data. Your mandatory skills should include proficiency in TIVOLI STORE MANAGER (TSM), COMMVAULT, and experience working at an L3 level. As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring backup and storage systems to proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise. Your key responsibilities will include: - Configuring backup and restoration procedures for various clients, including VM, DB, and FS - Conducting performance troubleshooting and tuning activities - Addressing backup failures and performing troubleshooting to ensure data integrity - Analyzing system logs to identify potential issues - Executing system updates and patches to maintain system health - Handling the mounting of Scratch tapes in DC, DR, and Territory for Tape Backup and VTL Tape Reclamation, as well as mounting VTL Scratch Tapes - Monitoring Backup Schedules for both Client and Admin Jobs - Supervising the Data Domain Replication process and collaborating with other IT teams to resolve any issues that could impact system performance.
