Lead Advant Controller Migration Engineer

As a Senior Control Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the migration of legacy Control systems to the 800xA platform. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing system analysis, migration planning, and execution with technical expertise in control system configurations and programming of logic/HMI. - Interpreting existing logics & HMI in Advant controller and implementing them for new system requirements. - Preparing and updating technical documentation such as existing FDS, IO lists, Architecture, operation manuals, and test procedures. - Developing and executing comprehensive test plans to validate system functionality post-migration, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational requirements. - Identifying opportunities for optimizing system performance and reliability and implementing improvements in collaboration with the engineering team. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - A Graduate engineer with 10+ years of experience in industrial automation, particularly in the integration and migration of legacy systems to modern platforms. - Good understanding of ABB Advant Control series and ABB 800xA systems, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration and minimal downtime. - Knowledge of any tool for logic/application conversions will be an added advantage. - Proficiency in Ethernet network configurations and communication protocols (OPC, Modbus, Profibus etc.). - Proven track record in leading large-scale DCS projects, preferably in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or manufacturing sectors. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.,
