Lead Advant Controller Migration Engineer

You will be responsible for performing migration of legacy Control systems to the 800xA platform. This includes conducting system analysis, migration planning, and execution. You will provide technical expertise in control system configurations, programming of logic/HMI, testing, and functional verifications. It is important to interpret existing logics & HMI in Advant controller and implement them for new system requirements. Additionally, you will be expected to prepare and update technical documentation such as existing FDS, IO lists, Architecture, operation manuals, and test procedures. Your role will involve developing and executing comprehensive test plans to validate system functionality post-migration. This will ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements. You will also be required to identify opportunities for optimizing system performance and reliability. Collaborating with the engineering team, you will implement improvements to achieve this goal. As a suitable candidate, you should hold a Graduate engineering degree with over 10 years of experience in industrial automation, particularly in the integration and migration of legacy systems to modern platforms. Your experience should include a good understanding of ABB Advant Control series and ABB 800xA systems, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure successful migration and minimal downtime. Knowledge of any tool for logic/application conversions will be an added advantage. Proficiency in Ethernet network configurations and communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, and Profibus is essential. You should have a proven track record in leading large-scale DCS projects, preferably in sectors like Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or manufacturing. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, enabling you to effectively convey complex technical information.,
