Layer 2/Layer 3 Software Architect

Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing and developing Layer 2/Layer 3 Protocols, with a strong understanding of networking fundamentals and OSI model. Your expertise in programming languages like C/C++, Python, or others will be utilized to work on embedded systems, real-time OS, and network operating systems (NOS). You will also need to have familiarity with virtualization, SDN (Software-Defined Networking), and NFV (Network Functions Virtualization) to troubleshoot complex networking issues using tools like Wireshark, tcpdump, etc. Your excellent communication and documentation skills will be essential in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Meet with the IT manager to assess current and future needs of the company. - Determine whether system upgrades or new installations are necessary. - Provide design ideas and schematics to the company. - Project manage the design and implementation process. - Collaborate with software developers on system software requirements. - Troubleshoot system issues as they arise. - Oversee system integration components. - Evaluate the performance of upgraded or newly installed systems. - Train staff on system procedures. - Offer post-installation feedback to the company. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science. - Previous experience as a technical architect. - Managerial experience. - In-depth knowledge of enterprise systems, networking modules, and software integration. - Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, and Office software. - Advanced project management skills. - Excellent communication skills. - Ability to conceptualize big-picture designs from basic specifications. - Ability to solve complex IT issues.
