Roles and Responsibilities 1. Implementation and Maintenance of Quality Systems, Lean Manufacturing Systems, 5S Methodology: Implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with industry standards. Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions to ensure consistent quality practices. Drive quality improvement initiatives by applying Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency. Support Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other lean tools to enhance quality and productivity. Collaborate with the production team to streamline processes and eliminate non-value-added activities. Promote and enforce the 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) within the production and quality departments. Conduct regular 5S audits to ensure a clean, organized, and efficient workplace. Train team members on 5S practices and foster a culture of workplace organization and safety. 2. Process Quality Assurance: Conduct process audits to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or deviations from the standard. Work closely with the production team to establish process controls and eliminate potential issues. 3. Customer Complaint Handling: Investigate customer complaints regarding quality issues and provide root cause analysis. Develop corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address and prevent recurring problems. Communicate resolutions and updates to customers promptly. 4. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze quality performance metrics, such as defect rates, scrap rates, and first-pass yield. Use statistical tools to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports in MS Excel for senior management.

Perform adhesion tests, corrosion resistance (Salt Spray) tests, and other relevant quality checks. Monitor and document process parameters such as temperature, immersion time, and chemical concentrations. Identify non-conformities, document findings, and escalate issues for corrective action. Maintain inspection records, test reports, and quality control logs as per ISO/IATF or customer requirements. Support internal audits and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Collaborate with production and plating teams to ensure continuous quality improvement. Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards in handling plating chemicals and coated parts. Preferred candidate profile Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in quality inspection in a plating, coating, or surface treatment environment (fastener industry preferred). Familiarity with electroplating and zinc flake coating processes. Knowledge of coating standards or customer-specific specifications. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and quality standards. Experience with measuring instruments: XRF, coating thickness gauges, calipers, micrometers. Basic understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality management systems.
