Lab Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist faculty and students during laboratory sessions, project work, and practical examinations.

* Prepare, set up, and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and experimental setups.

* Ensure proper functioning and calibration of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, function generators, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, etc.).

* Maintain an inventory of laboratory tools, components, and consumables.

* Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs of lab instruments and report major faults to the concerned authority.

* Ensure adherence to laboratory safety rules and regulations.

* Provide technical support in setting up new experiments, research work, and departmental projects.

* Assist in documentation, record-keeping, and preparation of laboratory manuals.

* Coordinate with vendors/technicians for procurement and servicing of laboratory equipment.

Qualifications:

* Essential:

* Diploma in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (or equivalent).

* Preferred:

* Bachelor's degree (B.E. / B.Tech.) in Electronics & Telecommunication

* Engineering or related field. ( M. Tech Elechonirs)

* Prior experience as a Lab Assistant/Technician in an academic or industrial setting.

Required Skills & Competencies:

* Strong knowledge of basic electronic components, circuits, and instruments.

* Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, etc.

* Ability to assist in designing and conducting practical experiments.

* Basic soldering, wiring, PCB assembly, and troubleshooting skills.

* Familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, and communication kits (preferred).

* Good organizational and inventory management skills.

* Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures and best practices.

* Effective communication and teamwork skills.

* Willingness to learn new tools, software, and emerging technologies in the field.
