This role requires strict adherence to security, compliance, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Install, terminate, and test Cat6/Cat6A , fiber optic , and other structured cabling systems. Perform cable routing, labeling, patch panel installations, and rack/cabinet setups. Conduct site surveys and prepare technical documentation (layouts, cable plans, test reports). Diagnose and resolve cabling issues, signal loss problems, and connectivity faults. Support network upgrades, branch expansions, relocations, and ATM/branch infrastructure deployment. Ensure compliance with banking security policies , data privacy , and industry cabling standards (TIA/EIA, ISO/IEC). Collaborate with network engineers, facility teams, and third-party vendors. Maintain proper tool handling and follow safety procedures. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience as a Structured Cabling Technician (2–5+ years preferred). Strong knowledge of copper and fiber cabling installation and testing. Familiarity with tools such as OTDR, Fluke testers, fiber splicers, and punch-down tools. Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and cabling diagrams. Understanding of network fundamentals (LAN/WAN, switches, patching, etc.). Experience working in high-security environments , preferably banking or financial institutions. Certifications preferred: BICSI , Fiber Optic Technician , CompTIA Network+ , or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Ability to work off-hours (maintenance windows) when required.
