Position Title: Social Media Manager Reports To: Trust Leadership Location: Chennai (Office-based) Duration: Project-based (4–5 months for the Yogini Travel & Exhibition Journey, with possibility of continuation post-project) About the Project Kankali Trust is organizing an 81-day, 16-state Yogini Travel & Exhibition Journey across India. The initiative will showcase 64 Yogini paintings, interactive exhibitions, and documentary previews. This large-scale cultural project requires strong digital presence and impactful online storytelling before, during, and after the exhibition. Role Overview The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing and growing the organization’s social media presence , ensuring effective communication of the Yogini Travel & Exhibition Journey and subsequent initiatives. Unlike the traveling team, this position will be based in the Chennai office and will coordinate remotely with on-ground teams to deliver timely updates and campaigns. Key Responsibilities 1. Social Media Strategy & Planning Design and implement content strategies for multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube). Ensure pre-event, live event, and post-event coverage aligns with organizational goals. Adapt strategies for long-term engagement beyond the exhibition. 2. Content Creation & Management Oversee creation of posts, reels, videos, graphics, and stories. Work with photographers/videographers traveling with the team to receive and publish real-time content. Maintain a strong and consistent brand presence across all channels. 3. Campaign Execution & Community Engagement Schedule, post, and monitor daily updates during the journey. Engage actively with online audiences by responding to comments, messages, and inquiries. Run digital campaigns to increase reach, engagement, and visibility. 4. Analytics & Reporting Track performance metrics (engagement, impressions, reach, conversions). Generate weekly/monthly analytics reports for leadership. Recommend improvements and new approaches based on insights. 5. Long-Term Digital Presence Continue managing the social media channels after the exhibition. Support future cultural projects and institutional initiatives with digital campaigns. Build a sustainable online community. Required Skills & Competencies 3–5 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing. Proficiency in content creation, copywriting, and visual storytelling. Strong knowledge of digital trends, analytics tools, and engagement strategies. Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced social media schedules. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Self-driven, with ability to coordinate remotely with traveling teams. Contract & Compensation Type: Full-time, project-based contract with opportunity for continuation post-project.
