Junior Security Engineer

As a Jr Security Engineer at Appknox, you will be an integral part of our R&D team, contributing to the innovation of our mobile security platform and addressing intricate security issues that have a global impact on businesses. Your responsibilities will include enhancing the VA platform by incorporating new capabilities to identify vulnerabilities in scanned apps, developing and implementing bypasses to ensure smooth user experience during scans, integrating new features to improve user experience, and creating and sharing whitepapers. To excel in this role, you should have a strong foundation in Reverse Engineering, particularly with exposure to tools like Frida (mandatory), Radare, Ghidra, Jadx, Binja, among others. Experience in developing sample Android or iOS applications, along with proficient research and analytical abilities, are essential. Proficiency in Python and JavaScript is a must, as well as familiarity with Git and GitHub. Ideally, you should possess 2-3 years of hands-on experience in mobile app security, although exceptional candidates demonstrating expertise through other means will also be considered. A thorough understanding of mobile application security fundamentals, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for tackling complex security challenges are crucial attributes for success.
