You are an experienced and detail-oriented Tool Room Manager responsible for overseeing the operations of the tool room. Your primary tasks include managing tool design, manufacturing, maintenance, and ensuring optimal availability of tools for production. It is essential that you possess hands-on expertise in tool room machinery, strong leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate with various departments to meet production goals. Your responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day operations of the tool room, which involves scheduling, planning, and workflow management. You will be supervising a team of toolmakers, machinists, and maintenance personnel, overseeing the design, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of jigs, fixtures, dies, and molds. Ensuring the availability and upkeep of tools required for uninterrupted production, maintaining accurate records of tool usage, repairs, and inventory, implementing and maintaining preventive maintenance programs, coordinating with production and design teams for tool modifications and improvements, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality systems, and company policies, managing budgets, procurement of tooling materials, and vendor coordination, as well as training and mentoring tool room staff to enhance technical skills and performance. To qualify for this role, you should have a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Post-graduation diploma in Tool & Die Making, along with 8+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2-3 years in a managerial role. CAD experience, proficiency in Solidworks, and experience in Injection Mold making are essential. Strong organizational and communication skills are also required to excel in this position.,
