Greetings from Jeena & Co! We are currently seeking a Manager - Transportation for our Chennai location with over 10 years of experience for JCPL. As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing our Road Transport category, focusing on developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing costs. We are looking for someone with a strong background in business development, revenue generation, and sales to support our growth and profitability initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Develop procurement strategies aligned with business goals and identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing market trends. - Build and maintain relationships with land transport providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with service standards. - Lead sourcing efforts, evaluate suppliers, and negotiate pricing to secure the best value for the organization. - Develop and oversee supplier contracts, monitor performance, and resolve any disputes that may arise. - Identify opportunities for cost reduction and improve land transport operations to optimize costs. - Address risks associated with transportation operations and develop contingency plans to mitigate them. - Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate performance, and prepare reports for stakeholders. - Drive revenue-generating strategies, collaborate with sales teams to expand market reach, and enhance service offerings. - Stay updated on industry trends, lead initiatives for process improvement, and drive continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications are preferred. - Experience: At least 8 years of experience in road transport management, procurement, supplier management, with a background in business development or sales.
