About the Role

Java Test Automation Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using

  QTP/UFT

  and

  Java + Selenium WebDriver

  .
• Work closely with development, QA, and business teams to define and refine test requirements.
  
• Perform

  functional, regression, API, and performance testing

  .
• Analyze test execution results, identify issues, and log defects using standard defect tracking tools.
  
• Ensure test documentation is accurate and compliant with organizational standards.
  
• Implement and optimize test frameworks and automation patterns.
  
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
  

Required Skills (Mandatory)

• Java

• Selenium WebDriver

• Test Frameworks:

  JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber

• Test Automation Design Patterns

  (POM, Data-Driven, Hybrid, BDD, etc.)

• API Testing

  (REST/SOAP)

• Data-Driven Testing

• BDD frameworks

Additional Skills (Good to Have)

• QTP/UFT Automation
  VBScript
• Test Management Tools (ALM / Quality Center)
• Defect Tracking Tools
• Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile methodologies
• Experience in regression and functional testing
