Description
As a Software Engineer at NielsenIQ BASES in Chennai, you will be part of a global leader in helping companies in the consumer goods industries realize their growth strategies. You will have the opportunity to work with best-in-class research, success prediction models, and volumetric forecasting tools while collaborating with industry-leading brands and cutting-edge technologies. In this role, you can be curious, collaborative, and forward-thinking. **Responsibilities:** - Develop new and enhance existing single-page web applications and key system features. - Explore and evaluate new technologies to advance the SaaS platform and business growth. - Serve as a developer on teams executing projects from beginning to end, including requirements gathering, solution brainstorming, application building, and testing. - Work closely with architects and other teams to design and implement cross-functional requirements. - Participate in design and code reviews, following community best practices and team SDLC guidelines. - Write clean code, continuously test from end to end, and be accountable for contributions towards team objectives. **Qualifications:** - 3 to 5 years of software development/engineering experience. - BS in Software Engineering or related discipline. - Languages: Java, Groovy, JavaScript. - Frameworks: Springboot, Grails. - Client-side frameworks: Angular, ngRx, HTML, CSS. - Experience with microservice development is a plus. - Experience in web application development and understanding of relational databases like MS SQL Server. - Experience with non-relational databases like MongoDB and IaaS & PaaS from a cloud vendor, preferably Azure, is a plus. - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. - Solid time and project management skills, technical implementation, and communication. - Quality-focused, detail-oriented, shows initiative, and familiarity with Agile processes. - Passion for learning new technologies, technical design, business domain knowledge, influencing, team communication, and effort estimation.
