Java Full Stack | Angular JS | Lead or Architect

As a candidate for this role, you will be responsible for addressing performance issues in a bespoke application running on AngularJS and Java Spring Boot tech stack. The application currently experiences latency issues with certain API responses taking as long as 30 seconds. It is important to note that you cannot install any additional tools at this time, although there is some existing Application Performance Monitoring (APM) in place but not utilized extensively. The specific module needed to identify source code level issues has not been purchased. Your main objective will be to identify the root causes of the performance issues and propose both short-term and long-term solutions within a tight timeline of one to two weeks. It is essential to have a clear framework and approach due to the short duration of the project. You may request and access performance testing reports and source code to aid in your analysis. This is a remote position where you will be expected to take the lead in executing the performance improvement plan. Support from the cloud infrastructure and database aspects will be provided by the company. The application is currently deployed on AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) containers.
