Job Description

provides compassionate care to patients undergoing fertility treatments, assisting doctors during procedures like egg retrieval and embryo transfer, and educating patients on their care plans

Direct patient care:
Provide nursing care to patients throughout the IVF cycle, from initial diagnosis to early pregnancy or loss.
Clinical and procedural support:
Assist doctors during clinical procedures like oocyte retrieval, embryo transfer, and IUI. This includes preparing patients and the procedure area.
Medication administration:
Administer injections and medications as prescribed, and ensure the correct dosage, storage, and preparation.
Patient education and counseling:
Explain treatment plans, procedures, medications, and self-care practices to patients and their families.
Monitoring and documentation:
Monitor patients' vital signs and progress, and maintain accurate and confidential records.
Team collaboration:
Work collegially with physicians, embryologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Administrative duties:
Manage stock of medications and supplies, and handle patient-related documentation, including consents and regulatory forms.

Qualifications

Education:
GNM or B.Sc. Nursing degree.
Registration:
Active nursing registration.
Experience:
Previous experience as an IVF Staff Nurse in a fertility hospital is often mandatory.
Skills:
Excellent communication, clinical, and patient counseling skills are essential.
