As an IT & IoT Support Engineer at our Chennai facility, your role involves supporting Factory Digitalization and Smart Factory initiatives. You will be responsible for coordinating between the Faridabad software development team and the Chennai factory operations team to ensure seamless integration, monitoring, and support of IoT gateways, PLC connections, and related IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Provide on-site technical support for Smart Factory and IoT applications. - Assist in connecting and configuring IoT gateways, sensors, and PLCs for machine data acquisition. - Coordinate with the Faridabad development team for data testing, troubleshooting, and issue resolution. - Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and industrial Ethernet setups. - Support the deployment and maintenance of edge devices, servers, and industrial PCs used in factory systems. - Collaborate with factory engineers for machine connectivity and ensure reliable data flow to the central application. - Maintain documentation for system configurations, IP mapping, and connectivity diagrams. - Perform basic diagnostics for hardware or software issues and escalate as needed. - Ensure data security, system uptime, and smooth communication between IT and production teams. Required Skills & Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation, or related field. - 25 years of experience in IT infrastructure or IoT/automation support. - Working knowledge of networking (LAN/WAN, IP configuration, switches, routers). - Hands-on experience with PLC communication protocols (Modbus, OPC-UA, MQTT, etc.) preferred. - Familiarity with industrial IoT gateways and connectivity to factory machines. - Basic understanding of Windows/Linux environments and system troubleshooting. - Ability to coordinate between cross-functional teams (IT, Production, and Development). - Strong communication skills and problem-solving mindset.
