Job Description

As an Integration Developer at Medtronic, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing complex integrations using Confluent Kafka. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing robust integration solutions using Kafka. - Collaborating with architects and business analysts to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. - Developing, configuring, and maintaining APIs and event-driven pipelines. - Building and monitoring data streams using Kafka (topics, producers/consumers, connectors). - Designing, developing, and maintaining Kafka-based solutions for data streaming, microservices, and event-driven architectures. - Ensuring the scalability, reliability, and performance of the Kafka platform by collaborating with other teams to implement solutions and troubleshoot issues. - Performing code reviews, unit testing, and performance tuning. - Maintaining documentation, design specifications, and technical procedures. - Providing guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Qualifications required for this role include: - 5+ years of progressive experience in IT enterprise integration with a Bachelors Degree in engineering or MCA or MSc. - Advanced knowledge of Kafka stream processing, data pipelines, schema registry. - Familiarity with REST, SOAP, APIs. - Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Action). - Good understanding of security concepts (OAuth2, JWT, basic auth, etc.). - Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills. - Strong understanding of Kafka architecture and its components. - Experience with Kafka producer/consumer APIs, Kafka Streams, and Kafka Connect. - Familiarity with various programming languages (e.g., Java, Python). - Experience with distributed systems and data processing technologies. - Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Confluent Control Centre, Log4j). - Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
