As a Data Science/Computer Vision Intern at SigTuple, a dynamic and innovative healthcare company specializing in Digital Microscopy, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and collaborate with talented professionals in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team for a six-month internship. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting in collecting, preprocessing, and analyzing large-scale datasets for computer vision applications. You will design and implement machine learning algorithms and models for tasks such as image classification, object detection, and image segmentation. Additionally, you will develop and optimize computer vision algorithms to extract meaningful insights from visual data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate these solutions into existing products or systems. To be successful in this role, you should currently be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. Strong programming skills in Python, along with experience using libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenCV, and scikit-learn, are required. Knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, particularly in the context of computer vision, is essential. Familiarity with deep learning architectures (e.g., CNNs, RNNs) and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) is also important. Experience working with image and video data, including preprocessing, feature extraction, and augmentation, will be beneficial. Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development tools is expected. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are necessary for this role. The ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders is crucial. If you have prior research or project experience in data science, computer vision, or related fields, it would be a plus.
