What you’ll do • Engineer complex HR solutions in ABAP from the ground up • Work deeply with the SAP HR infotype framework, including custom infotypes, dynamic actions, and subtype logic • Design, extend, and stabilize HR processes across PA, OM, Payroll, and Time Management • Build and maintain integrations using SOAP web services, RFCs, and classic HR data exchange patterns • Deliver scalable reports, conversions, and batch programs with a focus on performance and reliability • Partner with architects to shape long-term HR technology solutions • Support transformations toward S/4HANA while safeguarding critical HR logic What we expect • 7+ years of SAP ABAP experience, with at least 5 years focused on SAP HR engineering • Deep expertise with the infotype framework and HR master data clusters • Proven ability with ABAP OO, enhancements, BADIs, user exits, and HR-specific function modules • Strong experience with web services (SOAP, proxies, RFCs), not just OData • Skill in designing robust data models and optimizing performance for large-scale HR systems • Excellent debugging ability in Payroll and Time evaluation contexts • An engineer’s mindset: clean, reusable, maintainable code that scales Nice to have • Knowledge of ALE/IDoc distribution for HR data • Familiarity with S/4HANA HR compatibility packs • Exposure to CPI or other middleware is useful, though the focus here is core ABAP engineering
