Instrumentation Design Engineer

Qualification Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Instrumentation/Controls & Instrumentation
Experience – 8 to 10 Years
Domain: Oil & Gas, LNG, Petroleum & Chemical Industries and Refineries

Experience Summary:

Reviewing of project specifications and preparing the Basic Engineering Design Document (BEDD)
Preparation or Review of Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID)
Selection and Sizing of Switches, Transmitters and Valves based on the process requirements
Preparation/Review of Instrument Index, IO Database, MR Documents, Instrumentation Location Plant
Preparation of Instrument data sheets
Preparation of Cable Specifications, Junction Box Specifications, Cable Schedule, Junction Box Schedule / Grouping, Instrument Air Manifold Specifications, Junction Box Location Plant, Air Manifold Location Plant
Reviewing of Main Cable Tray Layout, Instrument Hook-up Diagrams, Cause and Effect Diagram, Alarm Trip Setting List
Instrument MTO, Cable Tray MTO, , Junction Box Wiring Diagram
Typical Installation Details, Control Room Layout
Review of Control system documents like Marshalling cabinet layouts, Wiring schematics/drawings, Control system Block Diagram, Loop Diagrams etc.
Good knowledge/Experience on HAZOP, LOPA etc.

Standards: IEC, IEEE, ISA, NACE, NEMA

Software:

a) Auto CAD

b) EPLAN

c) SPI

d) Conval
