You are a Music Facilitator (Vocal, Choir & Instrumental) at Bloomingdale International School, a leading K12 institution in Penamaluru, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India. Reporting to the Head of School/Principal, you are responsible for leading and nurturing the school's music program, catering to students from primary through middle school. Your key responsibilities include planning and delivering engaging music lessons aligned with IB PYP, MYP, and/or CBSE standards, teaching vocal music, choral singing, and instrumental music, preparing students for various music-related events, developing differentiated learning strategies, and promoting appreciation of music through Western and Indian traditions. You will also design and implement the annual music curriculum, organize choir practices and instrumental ensembles, coordinate school musical events, maintain a positive learning environment, assess student progress, collaborate with teaching teams, communicate effectively with parents, and participate in school functions. To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelors or Masters degree in Music (Vocal/Instrumental) or its equivalent, possess a teaching qualification, have experience in IB PYP/MYP and/or CBSE environment, demonstrate proficiency in a Western or Indian instrument, and exhibit strong choir direction and vocal training skills. Certifications from recognized music boards, experience in event coordination, knowledge of music technology, and training in Orff or Kodly methodologies are desirable.
