Purpose of the job IT Engineers are high-level IT personnel who design, install, and maintain a company's computer systems. They are responsible for testing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking systems to meet the needs of the employer. IT Engineers may also be required to train staff and manage projects. Key Accountabilities/Duties & Responsibilities Meeting with the IT Manager to discuss system needs. Monitoring Systems, Backups Network and Server using monitoring tools like PRTG, Grafana, ManageEngine etc. Installing software and networking devices. Installing software security patches and updates using ManageEngine and manual. Training staff on newly installed hardware and software systems. Troubleshooting and Fixing hardware, software, and networking issues. Responding to general IT Support requests. Filing monthly reports for the IT Manager. Mandatory Skills/ Competencies Extensive knowledge of computer hardware systems. Familiarity with general Operating system Administration Basic Knowledge of Active Directory and other server OS Knowledge of LAN, Firewall and wireless networks. Ability to project manage. Good communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues. Knowledge of database and networking security systems.
Role & responsibilities Support the current IT in-house ERP system built on PhP/MySQl that is being used across all entities of the enterprise by close to 1500 users. • Be responsible for the day-to-day support of the ERP application that involves bug fixes, data fixes and minor/major enhancements and major changes in the form of projects. • Coordinate with the IT Infrastructure team to manage infrastructure requirements to ensure 100% application up time. • Manage all releases to test and production • Deploy and manage all SDLC processes • Manage a team of about 25 developers and team leads • Manage all the associated mobile apps • Maintain a very hands-on role in providing technical expertise to team leaders and developers • Coordinate with stakeholders in business for requirement gathering, workshops, solution design, demos, training and testing. • Provide domain expertise in one or more areas like Purchase, Finance, HR etc. Preferred candidate profile : Candidate with 12-15 years of experience with strong technical skills in PhP / MySQL. • Good technical understanding of native android and ios mobile app development as well as apps developed on Flutter. • Experience in working on ERP systems custom built or packaged is critical. • Strong functional expertise in one or more functional domains like one or more areas like Purchase, Finance, HR, manufacturing processes etc. • Good understanding of software life-cycle processes and DevOps. • Ability to manage a team of 6-7 team leads and about 25 developers. • Understanding of IT Infra requirements for software applications and hosting on AWS • Hands-on skills for application code repository management using GitHub and deployment using Jenkins.
