We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager Freight & Logistics to oversee and manage freight negotiations, logistics operations, and transportation activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in handling both bulk and containerized cargo and will have extensive experience working with shipping lines, ICDs, CFS, and road transport providers. Key Responsibilities: Negotiate freight rates with shipping lines and service providers to optimize costs. Manage relationships with ICDs (Inland Container Depots) , CFS (Container Freight Stations) , and logistics partners. Oversee end-to-end logistics operations for both bulk and containerized cargo. Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-effective road transportation solutions. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless supply chain operations. Provide strategic input to improve logistics efficiency and reduce overall transportation costs. Ensure compliance with customs regulations, DGFT procedures, and other statutory requirements. Liaise with shipping line sales departments for cargo movement and service agreements. Candidate Profile: Minimum 10 years of experience in freight negotiations, shipping line sales, and logistics management. Must have worked at a senior position in the sales department of a shipping line. Strong knowledge of bulk & containerized cargo handling . Good understanding of Customs, DGFT procedures, and documentation (candidates with this expertise will be considered for a higher CTC). Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead logistics strategy, drive cost optimization, and ensure regulatory compliance. Qualifications: Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field (preferred). Strong industry network with shipping lines, CFS, ICDs, and transporters.
