What you’ll do Lead end-to-end development of cloud-connected embedded products (IoT devices, gateways, data loggers). Architect and optimize Linux-based systems (Debian/Yocto/Raspbian), including kernel customization and performance tuning. Ship robust connectivity stacks (GSM, Wi-Fi, BLE) and RTOS-based firmware. Integrate securely with AWS/GCP services for device management, telemetry, OTA, and analytics. Drive intuitive embedded UIs and ensure smooth HW/SW co-design with our hardware team. Build, mentor, and scale a team of 10+ engineers; raise the bar on code quality, reviews, CI/CD, and documentation. What you’ll bring Strong hands-on coding in C/C++ , plus proficiency in Python and/or Go . Deep Linux chops (kernel, device drivers, BSPs, Yocto/Raspbian), scripting with Bash/Shell , and RTOS experience. Firmware experience across GSM, Wi-Fi, BLE and common IoT protocols (MQTT/HTTP). Cloud integration on AWS and/or GCP for edge/IoT workloads. Experience building embedded UIs and a solid understanding of embedded hardware . Proven team leadership, stakeholder communication, and delivery ownership. Nice to have: OTA frameworks, secure boot/TPM, containers at the edge, devops for firmware (CI, HW-in-the-loop), performance profiling, and board bring-up. As a Senior Hardware Design Engineer at Inditronics, you will be responsible for designing and developing IoT hardware platforms, such as data loggers, gateways, and sensor modules. Your role will involve owning schematic capture, PCB design, component selection, and validation for high-reliability electronics. You will need to implement efficient layout practices, Power Management, Impedance matching, and ensure EMI/EMC compliance. Additionally, you will be required to have a deep product level understanding and conduct testing. Collaboration with firmware/software teams and the Mechanical team will be essential to ensure seamless HW/SW integration and product design development. Your role will also include board bring-up, debugging, and optimization of power, performance, and thermal design. Working closely with vendors and manufacturing partners on prototyping, DFM/DFT, certifications (CE/FCC/UL), and mass production will be part of your responsibilities. Defining hardware architecture, test strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety/EMI/EMC standards will be crucial.
