We’re looking for a Junior Industrial Designer to join our international product development team. Based in our Pune office, you’ll collaborate daily with teammates in China and other global offices. This is a full-time role; 40 hours per week, onsite in Pune. Job Responsibilities Support the Senior Industrial Designer and engineering team across multiple concurrent projects from early concept to production handoff. Produce clear 2D outputs (sketches, design boards, CMF specifications, technical illustrations) that communicate ideas and intent. Build accurate 3D CAD models for iteration, visualization, DFM/DFA reviews, and pre-tooling alignment. Create production-ready technical drawings with correct dimensions, tolerances, GD&T callouts, exploded views, and BOM references. Generate high-quality renderings and simple animations for internal reviews and client presentations. Prepare files and documentation for suppliers; track revisions and maintain tidy version control. Collaborate with China- and SE Asia–based teams across time zones; join vendor calls and support factory communications when needed. Contribute to DFM/DFA and QC reviews to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with manufacturing processes. Multitask effectively, adhere to deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure in a fast-moving environment. Keep libraries, templates, and documentation organized; follow internal naming and filing conventions. Uphold exceptional attention to detail and proactively flag risks, ambiguities, or timeline impacts early. Skills & qualifications Bachelor’s degree in industrial/Product Design (or equivalent proven experience). Proven and demonstrable proficiency in both 2D and 3D: 2D: AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop (Figma or similar a plus) 3D CAD: SolidWorks and/or Fusion 360 (Rhino a plus) Visualization: KeyShot and/or Blender Strong drafting fundamentals: dimensioning standards, tolerances, GD&T, and basic tolerance stack-ups. Working knowledge of DFM/DFA for plastics (injection molding), sheet metal, CNC machining, extrusions, die casting, finishing, and assembly considerations. Experience preparing production documentation (drawings, BOM references, supplier packs) and managing revisions. Hands-on prototyping skills and comfort interpreting factory feedback, measurement reports, and sample evaluations. Proactive, highly responsible, organized, and self-managed; exceptional attention to detail. Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills; fluent English required both written and spoken. Creative mindset, with a passion for concept design is a bonus. The position We are currently seeking an experienced DFM / Project Engineer to join our Pune team.
