Role Overview: As an Income Tax Consultant specializing in DTAA (Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement), your main responsibility will be to provide expert advice to clients on cross-border taxation matters, treaty benefits, and international tax compliance. You will play a crucial role in assisting clients in understanding and optimizing their tax exposure under treaty provisions. Key Responsibilities: - Advise clients on the DTAA provisions relevant to their cross-border transactions or income - Assist in the filing of income tax returns for NRIs, expatriates, foreign companies, and entities seeking DTAA benefits - Review and apply the appropriate DTAA articles to ensure accurate withholding tax treatment - Manage documentation such as Form 10F, TRC (Tax Residency Certificate), and other related paperwork - Represent clients in various matters concerning DTAA claims, withholding tax disputes, or refunds - Support in structuring transactions to maximize tax efficiency within treaty provisions - Stay updated on changes in international tax laws, CBDT circulars, and interpretations of DTAA - Coordinate with foreign clients and consultants to facilitate cross-border tax documentation Qualification Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Law, or CA/CA Inter - 1-2 years of experience in Indian direct taxation with a focus on DTAA issues - Proficient understanding of international tax provisions, tax treaties, and relevant sections of the Income Tax Act - Strong skills in tax portal filings, documentation, and compliance specific to DTAA - Excellent written and verbal communication abilities - Detail-oriented, research-driven mindset, and a client-centric approach Additional Details: The company is looking for immediate joiners for this full-time position based in Sector 38-C, Chandigarh.
