Job Summary

Ignition Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SCADA/HMI applications using Ignition.
• Design and implement user interfaces using:

• Perspective Module

• Vision Module

• Configure and manage:
• Alarm Notification Module
• Reporting Module
• WebDev Module
• Integrate Ignition applications with PLCs using industrial protocols such as:
• Modbus
• OPC UA
• MQTT
• Develop Python scripts and SQL queries for application logic, reporting, and data management.
• Implement MES functionalities using:
• Sepasoft OEE
• Sepasoft Track & Trace
• Configure and deploy Ignition Gateways and Edge devices.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, workflows, and system configurations.

Modules & Technologies

Ignition Modules

Perspective Module

• Develop modern, web-based, and mobile-responsive HMI/SCADA applications.

Vision Module

• Build traditional desktop-based SCADA solutions.

Alarm Notification Module

• Configure alarms, notifications, and escalation workflows.

Reporting Module

• Design dynamic reports and automated report scheduling.

WebDev Module

• Develop REST APIs and web-based integrations.

Tag Historian & SQL Bridge

• Enable data logging, historical trending, and transactional control.

Sepasoft MES Modules

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

• Monitor equipment performance and track downtime.

Track & Trace

• Manage product genealogy, traceability, and regulatory compliance.

SPC (Statistical Process Control) - Preferred

• Support quality monitoring and process analytics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Ignition SCADA development.
• Strong proficiency in:
• Python scripting
• SQL databases
• Hands-on experience with Sepasoft MES modules:
• OEE
• Track & Trace
• Knowledge of PLC integration and industrial communication protocols.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Bachelors degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Ignition Core Certification or Gold Certification is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• SCADA and MES implementation in manufacturing environments.
• Integration with ERP systems and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Ignition Edge and distributed architectures.
• Knowledge of industrial digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
