Key Responsibilities:

Review and analyze Emergency Department facility charts and assign accurate codes.
Ensure correct use of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for facility services.
Verify documentation for medical necessity and compliance.
Meet daily/weekly coding productivity and accuracy targets.
Collaborate with quality audit teams to ensure coding consistency.
Stay up to date with payer guidelines, NCCI edits, and CMS coding changes.
Handle queries from audit and billing teams efficiently.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:
Any Graduate (B.COM, B.tech,) / Any Life Science / Paramedical / Medical background (B.Sc, M.Sc, BPT, BOT, B.Pharm, Nursing, etc.)
Certifications (preferred):
CPC / COC / CCS
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of
ED Facility coding
experience in a US healthcare environment.
Strong understanding of
CPT
,
ICD-10-CM
,
HCPCS
, and
ED level assignment guidelines
.
Proficient in MS Office and medical coding software (e.g., 3M, Optum, Epic).
Excellent communication and analytical skills.
