Experience - 5+ years Location - Pune Work Mode - Work from office Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Azure DevOps and Release Manager to lead our software deployment, integration, and release processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and release management within the Azure ecosystem. This role requires excellent leadership, collaboration, and communication skills to ensure efficient and high-quality software releases. Key Responsibilities: 1. DevOps and CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for various applications. Automate deployment processes to ensure fast, reliable, and repeatable releases. Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated tests and quality checks into the pipelines. 2. Release Management: Plan, schedule, and manage software releases across multiple environments. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and smooth releases. Monitor and manage release dependencies, risks, and issues. Develop and maintain release documentation, including release notes, deployment guides, and rollback procedures. Conduct release readiness reviews and post-release retrospectives to identify and implement improvements. Implement and manage release branching strategies. Coordinate with third-party vendors and partners for joint releases. Implement and manage version control and release tagging strategies. Track and report key metrics for release performance and success. Ensure effective communication and training regarding new releases to stakeholders. Implement rollback and recovery plans for failed releases. Develop and enforce release policies and procedures. 3. Azure Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize Azure resources for performance, cost, and security. Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools. Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning for critical systems. 4. Monitoring and Incident Management: Implement and configure monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance. Respond to and resolve incidents and issues related to releases and deployments. Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. 5. Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality. Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends, tools, and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD, and release management. Experience with Git version control and branching strategies. Expertise in Azure DevOps, including pipelines, repos, artifacts, and boards. Strong experience with Azure cloud services, infrastructure management, and automation. Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Grafana, and ELK stack. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with .Net Development Experience with MSSQL Database Management Azure certifications (e.g., Azure DevOps Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect). Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps and cloud environments. Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies. Proficiency in using release management tools and frameworks. Experience with change management and risk management in the context of software releases. Knowledge of release automation tools such as Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, or Spinnaker. Experience with feature flag management tools. Ability to manage and track configuration changes across environments. Understanding of database release and migration strategies. Familiarity with cloud-native application architectures. Proficiency in network and security configuration management for releases. Strong documentation skills for maintaining detailed release records.
