HCLTech Hiring Java Backend/ Quarkus Developer

Role & responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade Java/J2EE applications using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs.
• Drive architectural decisions and ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing application development.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design and develop microservices-based applications leveraging modern cloud-native practices.
• Perform code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure adherence to best development practices.
• Mentor and guide development teams, providing technical leadership and resolving complex technical challenges.
• Oversee application deployment processes, CI/CD implementation, and DevOps best practices.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and technology innovation within the development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure application reliability, availability, and performance.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with organizational goals.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE application development with strong expertise in Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Strong knowledge of Quarkus, Java frameworks, and modern application design patterns.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and containerized deployments.
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Agile methodologies.
• Proven experience in leading technical teams and managing end-to-end software development projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive projects independently with minimal supervision.
