H C Bansal Engineers & Contractors (HCB) is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to independently execute government building projects across Himachal Pradesh. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery including resource management, billing, and compliance — preferably with hands-on experience in government projects. Flexibility to relocate within Himachal Pradesh is essential, depending on project locations. Relevant Industry: Construction / Government Building Projects Job Description / Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Independently manage and execute the full lifecycle of government building projects at various locations in Himachal Pradesh Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies Supervise on-site activities; efficiently handle workforce (manpower) and material resources Prepare and verify bills, Bar Bending Schedules (BBS), and maintain accurate documentation Prepare and submit test reports and periodic progress updates as required Ensure strict compliance with government specifications, legal regulations, and safety standards Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and all stakeholders, including relevant government departments Guarantee timely completion of projects within budget, while maintaining high standards of quality Address and resolve site issues; maintain open communication with clients and government officials Provide regular progress updates to management Desired Profile of the Candidate Required Qualifications: B.Tech in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years experience in building projects, or Polytechnic Diploma in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 7 years experience in building projects Prior experience managing government building projects is preferred Strong expertise in test reporting, handling manpower/materials, preparing bills, and Bar Bending Schedules Comprehensive understanding of government project protocols, construction methods, and regulatory requirements Willingness to relocate anywhere within Himachal Pradesh as per project requirements Outstanding leadership, organizational, and communication skills Key Skills Project Planning & Scheduling: Ability to prepare, monitor, and adapt project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations; handle daily site activities Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methods, building codes, standards, materials, and government compliance requirements; well-versed in architectural and structural drawings Manpower & Material Management: Efficient allocation and supervision of workforce and resources across multiple sites Billing, BBS & Documentation: Proficient in preparing and verifying bills, Bar Bending Schedules, maintaining accurate documentation, and complying with government reporting formats Test Reporting & Quality Control: Ability to conduct test reporting, ensure quality assurance, and meet regulatory benchmarks in public sector projects Stakeholder & Government Liaison: Excellent skills in coordinating with government departments, contractors, vendors, and clients; ability to interpret government tenders, contracts, and administration Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and maintain productivity and morale; ability to guide multidisciplinary teams independently Communication: Clear verbal and written communication with all stakeholders; expertise in reporting progress/issues to management Negotiation: Skillful in negotiating terms, budgets, deadlines, and resolving disputes with stakeholders and authorities Organizational Skills: Exceptional organization for multitasking across multiple projects/sites, document management, and time management Experience: B.Tech/ BE Civil – Minimum 5 years Diploma Civil – Minimum 7 years or Equivalent Location of Posting: Currently based in Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh (must be open to relocate to other parts of Himachal Pradesh as project demands) Location of Candidate: From Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, or willing to relocate and work across the state Language Preference: Fluent in English and Hindi (reading, writing, and speaking) Why Join HCB?
