As a Graphic Designer at VidUnit Media, you will play a crucial role in creating captivating YouTube Story thumbnails that are designed to attract clicks and engagement. Working closely with our content creators and marketing team, you will bring visual concepts to life for our fast-paced YouTube channel that is focused on the audience. Your key responsibilities will include designing YouTube Story thumbnails in the size of 1080x1920, ensuring they are optimized for mobile and vertical viewing. It will be essential to adhere to brand guidelines while infusing fresh and eye-catching visuals into the thumbnails. You will be tasked with either sourcing or creating expressive visuals such as face reactions, objects, and icons to enhance the thumbnails. Implementing design techniques that boost the click-through rate (CTR) will be a critical aspect of your role, along with staying informed about the latest YouTube trends and optimizing the designs accordingly. To excel in this role, you should possess proficiency in tools like Photoshop, Canva, Figma, or Adobe Illustrator. Previous experience in creating YouTube thumbnails is highly desirable, along with a solid understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, color theory, and contrast. The ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines is crucial, as well as being familiar with YouTube content trends and viral formats.
