Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics (GIPE), Pune Job Type: Contractual Application Deadline: December 21, 2025 (6:00 PM) Compensation: Negotiable based on qualifications & experience Application Fee: ₹236 (Online) About the Role GIPE invites applications for the position of Student Welfare & Activities Coordinator , responsible for designing, managing, and strengthening student welfare, engagement, and wellbeing initiatives across the institute. This role plays a key part in fostering an inclusive and supportive campus environment while enhancing student experience, leadership, and community engagement. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement student welfare programs, wellbeing initiatives, and support services aligned with institutional and UGC guidelines. Plan, coordinate, and manage co-curricular and cultural activities including festivals, clubs, debates, orientation programs, and student-led events. Promote student leadership, inclusivity, gender sensitization, and campus community-building through structured programs and mentorship. Serve as the liaison between students and the administration; facilitate timely grievance redressal and effective communication. Support mental health initiatives, counselling referrals, peer support systems, and wellness activities in collaboration with counsellors and faculty. Form, guide, and supervise student clubs, committees, and representative bodies. Ensure adherence to UGC norms on anti-ragging, gender sensitization, and grievance redressal in coordination with designated nodal officers. Maintain documentation, participation data, welfare records, and reports for audits and quality assessments. Assist in planning induction programs, student feedback systems, and leadership workshops. Encourage and facilitate student participation in national/inter-university cultural, literary, and sports events. Organize seminars, talks, and activities focused on youth development, ethics, civic responsibility, and nation-building. Eligibility Criteria Essential Qualifications Graduate degree in any discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in student-facing roles, preferably in higher education. Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills. Ability to handle student concerns with sensitivity, confidentiality, and professionalism. Desirable Experience organizing cultural, sports, welfare, or student development programs. Familiarity with UGC and NAAC requirements related to student support. Proficiency in Google Workspace/MS Office and social media engagement. Experience with anti-ragging committees, ICC, or grievance redressal systems. Age Limit Maximum age: 45 years (relaxation may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates).
