he Mathematics Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality math instruction, creating an engaging learning environment, and ensuring that students develop strong conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and academic confidence. The teacher will plan and deliver lessons aligned with the school curriculum and assessment standards. Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Learning Plan, prepare, and deliver structured and engaging Mathematics lessons as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE/State Board). Use a variety of teaching strategies, including activity-based learning, real-life examples, and technology-enhanced instruction. Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and evaluations to track student progress. Provide additional academic support to students who need remediation or enrichment. Classroom Management Maintain a disciplined, safe, and positive learning environment. Encourage student participation, critical thinking, and collaborative learning. Address individual student needs and learning styles. Curriculum & Documentation Prepare lesson plans, unit plans, worksheets, and learning materials. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and assessment reports. Participate in curriculum development and academic planning meetings. Communication & Collaboration Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Collaborate with colleagues and the academic coordinator to improve teaching practices. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development programs. Co-Curricular Responsibilities Assist in organizing math-related events such as Math Day, exhibitions, Olympiads, and competitions. Support school events, assemblies, and other co-curricular activities as assigned. Qualifications & SkillsEducational Qualifications Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Mathematics or a related field. B.Ed. / M.Ed. preferred (mandatory for most boards). Experience (Specify experience level: 1–3 years / 3–5 years / 5+ years in teaching Mathematics) Experience with CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE curriculum is an added advantage. Skills & Competencies Strong conceptual understanding of Mathematics. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to create engaging lesson plans using modern teaching tools. Patience, empathy, and commitment to student development. Proficiency in digital tools (smartboards, Google Classroom, MS Office, etc.). Working Conditions Full-time, regular school working hours.
