Role & responsibilities 1. New Business Development Research existing and potential markets to identify new customers. Conduct cold calls, generate leads, and build prospect lists. Secure new customer accounts and close sales within the designated territory. Arrange and conduct consultative sales visits with prospective and existing clients. 2. Client Engagement & Sales Growth Travel to universities, institutions, and organizations to build and maintain relationships. Deliver effective presentations using tools such as PowerPoint and live demonstrations. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Stay updated on industry trends and maintain advanced product knowledge. Conduct territory planning, forecasting, and manage opportunities effectively. 3. After-Sales & Team Support Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in the CRM system. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Support teams to resolve client issues. Ensure timely follow-up and service delivery for client satisfaction. 4. Additional Responsibilities Participate in industry events and conferences. Support sales in other territories when required. Undertake additional duties as assigned by management. Preferred candidate profile Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in B2B Sales/Business Development , preferably in publishing, libraries, or education sector. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to travel extensively (70%80% of the time). Self-motivated, target-oriented, and adept at relationship-building.

For more information, please visit: www.globepub.com Role Overview We are seeking dynamic, self-driven, and target-oriented Business Development Executives (BDEs) to expand our Indian customer base, focusing on academic libraries, universities, and research institutions. The role involves identifying business opportunities, building client relationships, and managing complete sales cyclesfrom prospecting to closure. Key Responsibilities 1. New Business Development Identify and research new markets and potential customers in the academic and institutional sectors. Conduct cold calls, client meetings, and product demonstrations to generate leads. Secure new customer accounts and achieve assigned sales targets. Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of prospects through territory mapping and follow-ups. 2. Sales & Relationship Management Visit universities, institutions, and libraries across the assigned territory to strengthen relationships with existing clients and onboard new ones. Present and promote products through interactive presentations, PowerPoint, and live demos. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals. Maintain thorough knowledge of STM publications and keep updated with industry trends and innovations. 3. After-Sales & Team Collaboration Ensure all client data and interactions are updated accurately in the CRM system. Coordinate with internal Sales and Customer Support teams to resolve any client concerns. Participate actively in industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to represent the organization. Additional / Mandatory Requirements Please read carefully before applying: This position involves 70%–80% field travel within and around the assigned base city. Own vehicle (two-wheeler or four-wheeler) is mandatory. Only male candidates from the publishing or academic distribution industry will be considered. Must possess excellent communication and presentation skills. Proven experience in B2B or institutional sales , preferably dealing with libraries, universities, or research organizations. Eligibility Education: Graduate/Post-graduate (preferably in Science, Business, or relevant fields). Experience: 3–7 years in Sales/Business Development within the publishing or subscription industry.
