Role & responsibilities 1. New Business Development Research existing and potential markets to identify new customers. Conduct cold calls, generate leads, and build prospect lists. Secure new customer accounts and close sales within the designated territory. Arrange and conduct consultative sales visits with prospective and existing clients. 2. Client Engagement & Sales Growth Travel to universities, institutions, and organizations to build and maintain relationships. Deliver effective presentations using tools such as PowerPoint and live demonstrations. Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Stay updated on industry trends and maintain advanced product knowledge. Conduct territory planning, forecasting, and manage opportunities effectively. 3. After-Sales & Team Support Maintain accurate and up-to-date client information in the CRM system. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Support teams to resolve client issues. Ensure timely follow-up and service delivery for client satisfaction. 4. Additional Responsibilities Participate in industry events and conferences. Support sales in other territories when required. Undertake additional duties as assigned by management. Preferred candidate profile Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Marketing, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in B2B Sales/Business Development , preferably in publishing, libraries, or education sector. Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to travel extensively (70%80% of the time). Self-motivated, target-oriented, and adept at relationship-building.
