Role & responsibilities Material Sourcing Source the material with the right price and to meet the delivery and specification requirements of the client. Register and float RFQs to the right vendors to obtain support Orders Timely placement of clear & structured purchase orders to suppliers after receipt of requisition from Commercial Department and obtaining supplier PO acceptance Negotiations Prospect new quality suppliers by conducting market research and competitor analysis. Float Enquiries from suppliers and compare competitive offers and quotations. Carry out the commercial evaluation on the offer submitted in order to ensure the offer is in compliance with the requirements of the client. Negotiate with the supplier to obtain competitive price meeting the customer requirements and ensure maximum profit to the organization. Order Release Ensure timely order release to the suppliers based on the Sales requisition. Supplier Relationship Manage good relationships with suppliers through regular communication and personal visits in order to maintain effective relationship which enables Gerab gain business advantage over competitors. Procurement Reports Submit reports to the Centre Manager regularly highlighting the issues faced for taking corrective action where ever required.
Role & responsibilities Compliance to Quality Requirements Review vendor quality procedure, quality plan, inspection & test procedure and ensure that order requirement have been identified and complied with. Review of the material test certificate and ensure the compliance to the customer requirement. Issue instruction to perform value added activities as required and coordinate with the warehouse and expeditor for the completion of the same. Review product test reports, test certificates for compliance with order requirement, identify discrepancies and co-ordinate with vendor for early closure. Third Party Inspection Arrange for third party inspection prior delivery at the vendor or GNE warehouses, ensure compliance to project inspection requirement. Coordinate with the team inspector in DXB/KSA offices and ensure the inspection related documents are endorsed by the Third Party and store the records in SharePoint. Complete all third party inspection within time to enable material delivery as per contractual date. Testing & Examination Identify and conduct test & examination required for compliance of project /contract equipment. Prepare inspection and test plan in line with the project requirement. Select approved vendor, co-ordinate and schedule inspection and testing activities and where required coordinate with the counterpart in Dubai to witness the testing. Issue the Test form /Purchase order with the information as required by the Outsourced Management Procedure. Plan and conduct sub-contractor inspection activities and reviews of sub-contractor activities. Non- Material Requirements Prepare and submit technical documents as per vendor scheduled, ensure on time submission. Ensure customer approval of production and test procedure & other technical documents have been obtained prior production or delivery. Prepare and submit the final documentation (vendor data book) within the contractual time. Receiving Inspection Responsible to carry out receiving inspection of the material as assigned on deputation in the absence of dedicated resource. Review of product test reports, test certificates, Inspection Reports, Authentication letters for compliance with order requirement; identify discrepancies and co-ordinate with vendor for early closure. Issue the DR, NCR as appropriate and resolve. Outgoing Inspection Plan the inspection activities and ensure on time completion on deputation when assigned Conduct detailed visual examination on components; ensure the traceability to ensure that all quality requirements specified in the customer purchase order are met. Update the Work bench with outgoing inspection details and issue Inspection report and Release notes. Records Prepare the MTC review reports, Test forms, Inspection Report, Vas Report in Inspection Work Bench and Issue Final Inspection Release note or Source Inspection Release for the material prior to shipment. List out the documents requirement for the project in DMS and update the status on every event of document flow. Ensure that the MTCs are compiled with lab reports / galvanizing reports and IRC are handover to the documentation assistant. Ensure that all necessary quality records are identified and retained in accordance with Project, Client and Regulatory requirements. Maintaining all material/component documentation records concerned with the tracking of products dispatched and sold to customers. Health and Safety Adhere to company’s HSE procedures and policies.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and reputed university. Minimum 5-7 Years of relevant experience in similar role within the Piping and Oil & Gas industry. Strong knowledge of international standards such as ASTM, API, ASME, ISO, NACE etc. ASNT Level II certification in UT, MPI, PT, RT is mandatory. Proficient in English, both verbal & writing. Hands-on experience with piping components including pipes, fittings, flanges, valves, gaskets, etc. Skilled in reviewing client specifications, technical datasheets, material standards, and ensuring compliance with project requirements. Proven experience in managing project documentation such as, VDRL, ITP, MPS, WPS/PQR, NDE Procedure, MRB etc. Familiar with documentation control, NCR handling, and quality audits (preferred).
Technical Review Pre-Contract Support- Sales Responsible to assist the Manager TS In performing the review of technical specifications received during the enquiry stage for the project and Regular enquiries as per the defined criteria and Identification of the Exceptions/Clarifications and suggest alternatives/ up gradations. In clarifying the technical terms during negotiation with the customer and supplier. In preparing Compliance statement/Technical Exception/Clarification, and negotiate our technical proposal with customers through TQs. Meeting with the customers on behalf of Manager TS- where required. Pre Sales Order Technical Support Purchase Responsible to assist the Manager TS In preparing Technical compliance sheet to obtain the concurrence of the supplier For evaluating vendor offer for technical compliance with project requirement To evaluate Exception/deviation from the supplier and provide the feedback to sales/customer Post Order Technical Support Responsible to assist the Manager TS Review of technical deviations/concessions arise during order execution after the PO placement from the customer in resolving the technical issues arise during the execution of the orders and support QC/Commercial /Procurement team Stock Purchase Technical Support Responsible to assist the Manager – TS in Standardization of Stock Specification to optimize the stock considering the techno-commercial aspects of the market requirement. Sales Support Constantly liaise with the Commercial Team for timely updates of the sales order. Coordinate with inter-departments for line wise order execution and on time delivery. Expediting Activities Manage effective expediting activities by obtaining timely feedback/update. Handle escalations. Reports & Documentation Prepare, monitor and update status reports. Prepare invoices, shipping documents, packing lists etc. for future shipments.
