Role & responsibilities Study and clarify tender scopes and technical requirements. Review vendor MDS, PDS, and specifications for compliance. Monitor daily design team activities. Prepare and obtain approval for design plans. Maintain DCI status and manage inward/outward registers. Attend kick-off meetings for new orders. Conduct daily tool room meetings. Coordinate with marketing for extra claims. Lead weekly review meetings with the shop team. Ensure only the latest design documents are available at the shop. Represent ASME U-stamp jobs as Design Manager. Minimize outsourcing and enhance department efficiency. Expedite design document reviews. Standardize client input review sheets during order acceptance.sme.in Candidate Profile: In-depth knowledge of design and detailing of pressure vessels, column tanks, reactors, and heat exchangers. Proficiency in software such as PV Elite, AutoCAD, Nozzle Pro, ANSYS. Familiarity with IS codes for wind seismic and design codes like ASME Sec VIII Div 1,2, PD 5500, API Codes, TEMA, etc. Knowledge of ACHE is expected.
Requirements: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. 3-5 years of relevant experience in painting/coating inspection in oil & gas, refinery, or infrastructure sectors. Strong understanding of surface preparation, coating application, and related standards (SSPC, NACE, ISO, ASTM). Proficient in inspection documentation and quality protocols. Preferred certifications: BGAS / NACE Level 1 or 2 . Effective communication and report writing skills. Willingness to work on-site and adhere to strict safety and quality standards, Key Responsibilities: Conduct inspections and testing of painting/coating activities. Ensure work complies with project specifications, international standards, and quality management systems. Prepare inspection reports, maintain QA/QC records, and support audits. Coordinate with contractors and clients on all quality-related matters.
