Role Responsibilities Perform surgical procedures on patients with various conditions. Evaluate and monitor patients pre-operative and post-operative status. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care. Consult with patients to discuss surgery options and risks. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for each patient. Provide direct patient care in the surgical ward. Manage surgical emergencies effectively and efficiently. Conduct physical examinations and diagnostic procedures as necessary. Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and recovery. Supervise and train junior medical staff and surgical teams. Stay current with the latest surgical advancements and techniques. Ensure adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards. Participate in continuing education and professional development activities. Lead quality improvement initiatives within the surgical department. Implement best practices for patient safety and surgical outcomes. Qualifications Medical degree from an accredited institution. Completed surgical residency program. Board certification in General Surgery. Valid medical license to practice in India. Prior experience in a surgical role, preferred. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to patient-centered care. Proficient in electronic medical records management. Strong leadership abilities and team-oriented mindset. Knowledge of infection control and surgical protocols. Analytical skills for assessing patient data and treatment outcomes. Dedication to continuous professional improvement. Willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
