Job Description

Role & responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate with expertise in programming, problem-solving, and Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, with a particular focus on Python, and experience using key data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy. Candidate must be experienced to fine tune / Optimize the open-source models like whisper, to run on mobile platforms (which have limited memory and CPU/GPU), without much guidance / supervision. Looking at people who have already tuned Gen AI models for a specific use case.' Candidate should have a solid background in Machine Learning, particularly in classification and retrieval tasks, as well as hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), including fine-tuning for specific use cases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), foundation models APIs, and Prompt Engineering. Familiarity with Faiss (Facebook AI Similarity Search) for efficient nearest-neighbor search in retrieval tasks is highly desirable. A strong understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) is preferred, with experience in audio/voice manipulation tasks, specifically text-to-speech (TTS) and speech-to-text (STT). Familiarity with the Hugging Face Transformers and Datasets libraries is highly desirable. Proficiency in using tools such as Hydra for configuration management and Weights & Biases for tracking experiments is essential. In addition to technical expertise, the ideal candidate will have experience with Git and GitHub for version control and a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, particularly when working on shared codebases and remote projects. Strong data management and manipulation skills are crucial, as is experience working on remote servers to develop and deploy machine learning models.
