Garments Designer (Textiles)

You will be responsible for developing original clothing concepts based on trends, seasons, and market demand. This will involve sketching designs manually or using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software. You will need to analyze fashion trends, fabrics, colors, and market demands by attending fashion shows, exhibitions, or studying trend forecasting sites. Creating seasonal collections with theme-based designs is a key aspect of the role. As a Garments Designer, you will be designing garments for specific categories such as menswear, womenswear, kidswear, ethnic, casual, or formal. Collaboration with pattern makers and tailors to develop sample garments will be essential. You will also play a pivotal role in selecting fabrics, trims, and accessories for each design, as well as reviewing garment samples and suggesting changes for a better fit or style. Additionally, coordinating fittings and finalizing specifications will be part of your responsibilities. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Tirupur. The salary offered is in the range of 20,000 to 25,000/- based on experience. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in Tamil and English languages is required. In terms of benefits, the company provides health insurance and Provident Fund. The work schedule consists of day shifts and morning shifts.
