As a Storyboard Artist at Gameberry Labs in Bangalore, you will be an integral part of our marketing team, contributing to the visualization of engaging gameplay-based marketing content and story-driven materials like trailers, ads, and social media videos for our expanding portfolio of mobile games. By creating detailed storyboards, you will provide blueprints for video editors, animators, and motion designers to ensure that our visual campaigns are not only compelling but also clear and performance-driven. Your responsibilities will include developing storyboards for various marketing videos, user acquisition ads, and social media campaigns. You will be tasked with translating scripts and concepts into dynamic visual narratives with a keen eye for timing, emotion, and appeal. Collaboration with the marketing, creative, and production teams will be essential to align visuals with campaign objectives. Your ability to interpret gameplay mechanics and key features into visual storytelling that resonates with target audiences will be crucial. Additionally, you will need to iterate swiftly on feedback and adjust boards based on team or data-driven direction, while maintaining consistency in tone and style across different campaigns and IPs. To excel in this role, you should have at least 6 years of experience as a storyboard artist in games, animation, advertising, or related fields. Strong illustration and cinematic storytelling skills are essential, coupled with a deep understanding of pacing, composition, and shot flow. Prior experience in creating performance-based ad creatives, particularly for mobile games, is highly desirable. Proficiency in tools like Photoshop, Storyboard Pro, or similar digital sketching software is a must. An understanding of mobile game audiences and digital marketing platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok will be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment are key requirements. A portfolio showcasing storyboards for ads, trailers, or similar projects is mandatory. While not mandatory, familiarity with animation pipelines and knowledge of how storyboards translate into motion graphics would be beneficial. Basic understanding of video editing and animation tools like After Effects and Premiere is a plus. A passion for mobile games and the gaming industry would be advantageous in this role.
