Game Artist

As a Concept Artist at Light & Wonder, you will play a crucial role in the early stages of game development by creating concept art that establishes the visual style, mood, and atmosphere of the game. Your responsibilities will include developing art for characters, environments, and props that align with the game's narrative and gameplay requirements. You will be expected to adhere to scheduled task deadlines and effectively communicate any challenges or issues that may arise in meeting them to the lead in advance. Additionally, you will need to prepare art for review meetings, actively participate in discussions regarding progress and challenges, and incorporate feedback into your designs. Your role will involve creating storyboards and visual narratives to communicate key story beats and gameplay moments to the development team and stakeholders. You will engage in an iterative design process, exploring multiple iterations of concept art to arrive at final designs that best meet the project's needs. Adaptability and flexibility are essential qualities for this position, as you will be required to respond to changes in project scope and deadlines by iterating on designs to address evolving needs and priorities. You should be able to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and demonstrate proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, with a basic knowledge of the Unity game engine. Good communication skills, a relevant art degree, and the ability to acquire knowledge of new tools and software when necessary are also important qualifications for this role.
