Game Animator

As a 2D Animator at Light & Wonder, you will be responsible for bringing various casino games to life with captivating animations. Working alongside a team of skilled Creators, you will contribute to the development of game art and animations for renowned brands like Lord of the Rings, James Bond 007, Wizard of Oz, and Wonka. Your role will involve tasks such as game sign creation, info screen creation, game localization, and Archiving responsibilities. Your primary focus will be on creating high-quality animations with a keen eye for detail in timing, color theory, layout, text treatment, and animation techniques. Continuous improvement of your artistic and software skills through company training and collaboration with Senior and Lead Animators is essential. Maintaining professionalism, accepting constructive feedback, and managing your time effectively with minimal supervision are key aspects of this role. To excel in this position, you should hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in art/animation and possess at least 2 years of experience as an Animator in a production environment. Proficiency in 2D Animation, After Effects, Unity, and Photoshop is required. Strong critical thinking skills, the ability to adapt art to different themes and platforms, and expertise in motion graphics using industry-standard plugins are essential. You should also be well-versed in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator design, and have technical knowledge of adjusting art file resolutions and modifying After Effects compositions. Good file management practices, typography skills, and experience with tools like Spine 2D for sprite rigging and animation are valuable assets. Knowledge of Blender, 3ds Max, or Maya is necessary, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Unity experience is a mandatory requirement for this role.
