Role Description

This is a remote internship role for a Freelance Video Editor focused on creating Game Prototype Videos. The role involves tasks such as video production, editing video content, color grading, and adding motion graphics elements. The Video Editor will work closely with our team to bring game prototypes to life through engaging and visually appealing videos.

Responsibilities

• Edit screen-recorded gameplay footage, mockups, and/or animations into a cohesive 3-5 minute video.
• Incorporate text overlays, transitions, and subtle visual effects to emphasize key features (e.g., AI-driven scenarios, decision-making interface).
• Sync voiceover (provided or recorded by editor) and royalty-free background music with visuals.
• Ensure a professional, minimalist aesthetic suitable for a larger audience (e.g., clean design, neutral colors, sans-serif fonts).
• Deliver the final video in MP4 format (1080p resolution) optimized for presentation on laptops or projectors.
• Provide 1-2 rounds of revisions based on feedback.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing, preferably for tech demos, corporate videos, or training materials (portfolio required).
• Proficiency with editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro).
• Ability to work with provided assets (gameplay footage, screenshots, script) and create a storyboard for approval.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a professional, mission-focused tone.
• Familiarity with royalty-free music libraries (e.g., AudioJungle, Free Music Archive) and basic animation tools (e.g., After Effects) is a plus.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines (1-2 weeks from project start).
• Understanding of or willingness to adhere to strict security guidelines (e.g., no use of sensitive or classified data).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on defense, government, or tech-related video projects.
• Ability to record or edit voiceovers for clear, professional narration.
• Knowledge of creating videos for high-stakes presentations (e.g., to government or corporate stakeholders).
