Founding Tech Architect / Head of Engineering

As an experienced and skilled individual, you will be responsible for architecting and developing the entire tech stack, which includes the frontend, backend, API layers, lender integrations, dashboards, and analytics. You will take the lead in managing the backend infrastructure for real-time mutual fund-backed credit flow, which involves pledge APIs, eligibility engine, credit decisioning, and data security. It will be essential for you to ensure compliance with RBI Digital Lending Guidelines, data localization, audit trails, and customer privacy frameworks. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to hire, mentor, and lead a competent tech team, fostering an engineering-first culture. Your involvement in overseeing the performance, scalability, and security of the platform right from the initial stages will be crucial. Your background should include a strong engineering experience in building scalable fintech products, preferably from the ground up. Proficiency in microservices, API security, serverless/backend infrastructure, and DevOps is highly desired. Your ability to prioritize tasks, make critical architecture decisions, and uphold code quality, performance, testing, and documentation standards will be invaluable. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure such as AWS/GCP, event-driven architecture, and real-time systems is advantageous. An entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and ownership is key, and an educational background from IIT/NIT/BITS is preferred. While not mandatory, past experience as a Founding Engineer or Tech Lead at a startup and knowledge of building or scaling products within the framework of RBI/SEBI financial regulations are considered advantageous. Exposure to RTA ecosystems, account aggregator frameworks (AA), or credit decisioning engines is a plus.
