The AI & Data Intern position at Novasensa in Delhi NCR offers a unique opportunity to work on building a custom AI Assistant aimed at automating experiments, analyzing lab data, and supporting decision-making to promote sustainability. Novasensa is a deep-tech sustainability company focusing on lithium-ion battery and e-waste recycling, contributing to clean energy, circular economy, and India's mineral self-reliance. During the minimum 3-month internship (extendable to 6 months), you will have the chance to use your Python and data skills on a real-world AI system, gaining valuable experience in automation, data visualization, and semantic search. The internship provides mentorship from a startup team working at the intersection of sustainability, engineering, and software, allowing you to contribute to India's green growth and circular economy mission. As an AI & Data Intern, your responsibilities will include programming and automation tasks such as writing Python scripts to process experimental data, automating R&D tasks, and assisting in building backend tools for experiment tracking and analysis. Additionally, you will be involved in data analysis and visualization by analyzing lab results, generating visual summaries, and creating dashboards using tools like Excel, Python (Pandas, Matplotlib), or Streamlit. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to AI Assistant Development by assisting with document parsing, semantic search, and testing and improving the performance of the AI assistant using real lab data. Novasensa is seeking curious and motivated learners with basic to intermediate Python programming skills, an understanding of data structures, functions, file handling, and familiarity with data visualization tools. Exposure to AI tools and an interest in clean energy, recycling, or sustainability are considered advantageous for applicants. Candidates pursuing or recently completing degrees in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, ML, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
